I am a 27 year old nanny from Portland, Oregon with a heart for women’s ministry. A few fun nuggets about me: I love coffee, hiking, volleyball, crime TV shows (Criminal Minds or Blacklist, anyone?), chick flicks, action films (Jason Statham), movies in general, spending quality time with others, holding babies, cute animals, and corny Dad jokes,
Most importantly though, I love Jesus and what He has done in my life and I strive to continually grow in my relationship with Him daily, though I often struggle. I’m obviously not perfect, as you’ll find out as I continue to write on this blog, but I have a heart for Christ and living a life of purity (and inspiring others to do the same). Purity to me is not just saving your virginity until you’re married like many initially think, though I believe that is important.
But more than that, I believe purity is something from the heart. It should be apparent in every aspect of our lives: in how we act, talk, think, love, and serve. It should be obvious in our everyday life and faith in God.
Living a life of purity is definitely not easy! It’s not the “norm” nor seen as something worth obtaining. Most people see those who desire to set high standards as a “prude,” though many rarely are (don’t get me wrong… there are quite a few that need to learn humility and grace, often me included as I can be judgmental). Honoring God in my everyday life is something I have to work for, strive for, and fight for, but like I wrote in the world’s smallest poem, it will be worth it! I believe my future self will appreciate my living a life that puts God’s will first… along with my future spouse. 😉
I hope this blog is a blessing for you. I’ve created it for you to hopefully encourage you where you are at in life, as well as help you realize you are not alone, no matter what you are going through.
Let me know if you need anything, have any questions, need prayer, whatever… email or tweet me and I will do my best to help you out! 🙂
Have a blessed day!
